Rustic Pecan Bars

This is a variation of our family pecan pie recipe.


Make a double recipe of the Almond Meal Crust
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

  • 2-4 T arrowroot
  • 4 eggs, well beaten
  • 1 c packed brown sugar
  • 2 c white sugar
  • 1/4 c milk
  • 2 t vanilla, OR 2 T rum
  • 1/8 t salt
  • 2 c chopped pecans
  • - Pat crust into a 9x13 pan (no need to butter pan).
    - Pour pecan goo into the crust.
    - Bake 50-60 minutes, until a knife comes out clean. Your altitude, humidity and stove will determine just how long this bakes.

Let cool completely before cutting.
